The Grove City Food Pantry will change operating protocol effective Monday, July 6, 2020. We will move back to a pick up service only. Weekday hours, Monday through Friday will be from Noon to 2pm by reservation only.
Customers must make an appointment and schedule their pickup in advance thru HandsOn Central Ohio. Please dial 211 to reach them. After successfully scheduling an appointment, customers will pick up their food allocation outside, on the Columbus Street main entrance of our building at 2710 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Customers will be asked to stay in their cars and we will load grocery items. Customers are asked to have vehicle interior space cleaned and made ready for grocery loading ahead of arrival.
We are asking for three volunteers daily to help with loading cars, staging groceries for pick up on our outside patio, bagging items for pick up and other small organizing pantry tasks as needed. The hours will be from 11:30-2:30, Monday through Friday in a safe distancing and mask wearing environment. Volunteers will be asked to wear masks for the safety of those working with them and our customers. For students, this may be a good way to get volunteer hours earned ahead for the upcoming school year.
Please do not volunteer if you have been sick, have had a fever, or become sick within a 14 day window of your volunteer date.
